• 老师好  (Hi, Teacher.)       Lǎoshī hǎo
• 早上好  (Good morning)   Zǎoshàng hǎo
• 下午好 (Good afternoon. )  Xiàwǔ hǎo

What day/date is today?

• 今天几月几号？Jīntiān jǐ yuè jǐ hào?
• What date is today? 
• 今天是2019年2月18日。Jīntiān shì 2019 nián 2 yuè 18 rì.
• Today is February 18th in 2019.
• 今天星期几？Jīntiān xīngqí jǐ?
• What day is today? 
• 今天星期一。Jīntiān xīngqíyī.
• Today is Monday.
• 现在几点？Xiànzài jǐ diǎn? (What time is it now?
• What time is it? 
• 现在（是）九点十分。 Xiànzài (shì) jiǔ diǎn shí fēn.
• It's nine ten. 

What did we learn last week/time?

• 我们上星期学到第几课了？Wǒmen shàng xīngqí xué dào dì jǐ kèle?
• What did we learn last week? 
• 你们带来作业了吗？Nǐmen dài lái zuòyèle ma?
• Did you bring your assignment? / Have you brought your homework here?
• 今天我们学第几课？Jīntiān wǒmen xué dì jǐ kè?
• Which lesson are we learning today?

Now we do the dictation.

• 我们现在听写生词。Wǒmen xiànzài tīngxiě shēngcí.
• We are going to dictate new words.
• 请拿出纸和笔。Qǐng ná chū zhǐ hé bǐ.
• Please, take out your paper and pen. 
• 写上你的名字和今天的日期. Xiě shàng nǐ de míngzi hé jīntiān de rìqī.
• Write your name and today’s date.
• 再写上“听写四”。 Zài xiě shàng “tīngxiě sì.”
• Then write “Dictation 4”.

Now let us begin our class.

• 我们现在开始上课。Wǒmen xiànzài kāishǐ shàngkè.
• We are going to start our class. 
• 请打开书到第十九页。Qǐng dǎkāi shū dào dì shíjiǔ yè.
• Open your book at page 19.

Please read / repeat after me. 

请跟我读。Qǐng gēn wǒ dú.

这个字是第一声。Zhège zì shì dì yī shēng.
