甲：我喝水。不要放冰。Wǒ hē shuǐ. Bùyào fàng bīng 

i want some water without ice

乙：我也要水，带冰的。Wǒ yě yào shuǐ, dài bīng de

me too but with ice

丙：请问有咖啡吗？Qǐngwèn yǒu kāfēi ma?

do you have coffee?

马：有。请问放糖吗？Yǒu. Qǐngwèn fàng táng ma?

yes, add some sugar?

丙：少放一点儿糖就行。Shǎo fàng yīdiǎn er táng jiùxíng

马：好的，这是菜单，你们先看看，我稍等就来。Hǎo de, zhè shì càidān, nǐmen xiān kàn kàn, wǒ shāo děng jiù lái

丙：咱们点什么菜呢？Zánmen diǎn shénme cài ne?

甲：我看咱们每人点一个菜，然后点一个汤。Wǒ kàn zánmen měi rén diǎn yīgè cài, ránhòu diǎn yīgè tāng

how about we order a dish per person and order a soup together

乙：只点菜不行。还得三碗米饭。Zhǐ diǎn cài bùxíng. Hái dé sān wǎn mǐfàn

you can't order the dishes only, we need three bowls of rice

丙：好的。我想吃家常豆腐。这个最便宜. Hǎo de. Wǒ xiǎng chī jiācháng dòufu. Zhège zuì piányí

ok. i want some home-made todu. this is the cheapest. 

乙：我想吃红烧牛肉。你呢？Wǒ xiǎng chī hóngshāo niúròu. Nǐ ne?

I want some braised beef. How about you? 

甲：我要个糖醋鱼吧。看起来不错，也不贵。Wǒ yào gè táng cù yú ba. Kàn qǐlái bu cuò, yě bù guì.

I want a sweet and sour fish. Looks nice and not expensive

乙：够了。还有米饭和汤呢。Gòule. Hái yǒu mǐfàn hé tāng ne.

丙：一个家常豆腐，一个红烧牛肉、一个糖醋鱼。Yīgè jiācháng dòufu, yīgè hóngshāo niúròu, yīgè táng cù yú.

we have four kinds of soup. which one do you want? 

乙：酸辣汤吧。Suān là tāng ba.

马：好的。一个酸辣汤。Hǎo de. Yīgè suān là tāng

乙：还有三碗米饭。Hái yǒusān wǎn mǐfàn

马：好的。请先用茶。Hǎo de. Qǐng xiān yòng chá

丙：不好意思，请问这是什么茶？Bù hǎoyìsi, qǐngwèn zhè shì shénme chá?
